Emergency Excellence Launches Free Emergency Department Benchmarking Report on National Quality Forum Efficiency Metrics 

Emergency Excellence has incorporated three National Quality Forum (NQF) benchmarks relating to emergency department efficiency and throughput into a personalized emergency department benchmarking report.  Participants are compared to similar emergency departments by type, locale, and census.  This complimentary report allows hospitals to externally benchmark to comparable emergency rooms and best practices for:

• Door to Doctor Time
• Admit Decision to Depart Time
• Left Without Being Seen (LWBS) Rate 

The NQF-endorsed benchmarks are being considered by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for inclusion in the public reporting system in 2012.
